Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a very special time in a woman's life.

As you nurture a new life in your womb, you have to take extra care of your health. Eat well. Fresh nutritious food. Get enough fluids. Exercise. Rest well.

See your doctor for your regular prenatal check ups. Take the supplements the doctor advises you to take. You will need folic acid, calcium and the multivitamins the doctor would probably recommend to you. If the doctor does not say anything about supplements, ask her or him what you should take.

Relax. Be happy. Think of the baby who is going to enter your life soon. Enjoy interacting with your baby even while the baby is in your womb. Play classical music for your baby to hear. I remember when I was pregnant. As my husband and I sat on the sofa, listening to Pacabel, I felt the baby in my womb move to the music. As the music progressed, the movements became more vigorous. When the music stop, the movement in my womb stopped, only to start again with the music, again in line with the tempo and mood of the music. When my baby was born, he continued moving to the music. He is quite an impressive dancer now.

Exercise. Go for regular walks or do regular workouts that are meant for pregnant women like yourself, but get your doctor's approval first. It would be easier to push the baby out if your body is fit.!
